Jesus appeared to his disciples after his resurrection, not as a ghost, but as a man with crucifixion scars who at food. He was really alive!

Jesus had fulfilled all the prophetic scriptures; he had risen from death and suffering and now repentance from sin and God’s forgiveness were the next events to experience and proclaim.

Recently someone asked me if I thought love or courage was more important and I immediately chose love (“the greatest of these”). But maybe she was right about courage being greater. It takes courage to look at life differently, to see grace and love and act on them. Or is it the other way?
